The Field Engineer will play a critical role in supporting project execution by assisting with technical aspects, coordinating on-site activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
The Field Engineer will play a critical role in supporting project execution by assisting with technical aspects, coordinating on-site activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to track project progress and resolve issues.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot challenges that arise in the field.
- Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
- Conduct field measurements and verify installation accuracy against design specifications.
- Assist in quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce job site safety in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Support project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical construction or related industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb ladders or scaffolding as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
Benefits and Compensation:
- The range for this position has been established at $67,280 to $90,900 per year and is US Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
