Our Summer internship program is a full-time, 12-week summer position from May through August 2027. As an intern, you’ll receive an exciting opportunity to acquire relevant work experience and work alongside our best and brightest. You will be paid competitively and get to network with our top leaders. Your experience will include orientation, job walks and a community service event, just to name a few.
As the CSST Intern, you will gain practical experience across key business operations within a service-based contracting environment. You will contribute to daily functions of service coordination, operational analysis, invoice reconciliation, and data review. Working alongside experienced team members, you will learn how financial operations and administrative workflows interconnect to drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Through guided projects that increase in scope and independence, you will develop foundational skills in business process analysis, documentation, operational problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Service Operations & Support:
- Learn and gain knowledge from the Service side of Mechanical, TAB, HVAC, Controls, and Plumbing Contracting.
- Collaborate with Field and the Central Support Services teams to ensure the timely scheduling and completion of service requests.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.
- Learn to navigate and support the BuildOps platform and related workflows.
- Support service coordinators and field teams by responding to operational needs, coordinating customer information, and troubleshooting workflow issues.
- Analyze operational workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through process documentation and organizing step-by-step instructions.
- Gather and synthesize process information from multiple team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support the review and refinement of existing documentation to maintain consistency and relevance
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, business, or construction.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Passion for the mechanical service industry.
- No travel required.
- Frequent sitting required – use of computer keyboard/monitor, telephone required. Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and light lifting (e.g., file boxes).
- Must work well under pressure of time constraints.
- The range for this position has been established at $18 to $23 per hour and is US Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
