PLUMBING DETAILER
As a Plumbing Detailer you will wake up every morning with the ability to deliver successful mechanical installation projects that make lives and communities better. Your oversight through all phases of construction will make partners want to work with you again and produce impressive financial results. Responsible to complete detailed mechanical systems BIM models utilizing company standards, adhering to current building codes, and meeting project requirements.
This is a non-union position
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Use knowledge of building trades and codes in tandem with AutoCAD, Fab, MEP, and Revit software to assist in model and fabrication drawing creation.
- Perform routine to complex assignments requiring thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
- Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings.
- Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from Supervisor, and other project team members.
- Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, while learning how to use all software options.
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology Field.
- Prior experience in pipe fitting, plumbing or sheet metal.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Fab MEP software
- Proficiency in the use of computer-aided drafting software:
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Fab MEP
- Navisworks Simulate/Manage
- Proficient Revit Skills
- Bluebeam Revu helpful but not required
- Thorough understanding of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems.
- Understanding of mechanical construction principles and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Mathematical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
- Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
- The range for this position is $27.00/hour - 45.50/hour is US Engineering Construction good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
