Safety Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator ensures the implementation and continuous improvement of U.S. Engineering Service’s safety, health, and environmental programs across offices and job sites, supporting our core values to ensure a safe working environment.

Safety Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator ensures the implementation and continuous improvement of U.S. Engineering Service’s safety, health, and environmental programs across offices and job sites, supporting our core values to ensure a safe working environment.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Partner with Service leadership to embed safety and health programs into daily operations.
- Conduct safety training for Service technicians and support staff, including topics such as driving safety, electrical safety, confined space, and lockout/tagout.
- Coordinate onboarding safety orientation for new Service team members.
- Lead proactive safety inspections at customer sites and service operations.
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Track Service safety metrics and report trends to the Regional Safety Director.
- Support the rollout of safety communication tools (e.g., KPA Flex) and Service-specific Atlas training modules.
- Reinforce safety mentorship culture by encouraging peer-to-peer leadership and recognition of positive safety behavior.
- 0-5 years of related experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local OSHA requirements and safety best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborative approach to developing and delivering training.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent ability to establish and foster effective professional relationships with others, including team members at all levels of the company, vendors, contractors, etc.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with safety or service management systems preferred.
- Understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and associated safety best practices.
- Routine travel to regional branches and customer sites.
- Fieldwork includes exposure to mechanical systems, facility rooftops, and confined spaces.
- The range for this position has been established at $67K to $95K annually and is U.S. Engineering Service’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
